ATHEX: Greek stocks climb out of red at end of session

The closing auctions buoyed the Greek bourse benchmark out of the red on Thursday, with turnover reaching heights unseen since late September, at 92 million euros.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 740.20 points, adding 0.26 percent to Wednesday’s 738.31 points.

On a monthly basis it lost 2.52 percent.

The large-cap FTSE-26 index dropped 0.22 percent to 1,920.77 points.

In total 37 stocks rose, 51 fell and 21 stayed put.

In Nicosia the Cyprus Stock Exchange general index went up 0.20 percent to 71.20 points.
