Greece’s Energean signs deal with Israel Chemicals Limited

Israel Chemicals Limited (ICL) announced on Thursday the signing of a contract with Greek energy company Energean for the long-term supply of natural gas to the Israeli firm.

Energean agreed to supply up to 13 billion cubic meters of gas at a total consideration of up to $1.9 billion over a 15-year period.

The contract is expected to cover all energy needs of ICL – starting from the second half of 2020 at the earliest – including the operation of a new 240-megawatt power station in Sedom. [Reuters]
