GEK Terna and J&P Avax land big project in Limassol

GEK Terna is expanding its presence in projects abroad as sources say it has won the tender for a major project in Cyprus in a consortium with J&P Avax.

It concerns a contract worth 550 million euros for the construction of a casino in Limassol named City of Dreams Mediterranean, to be operated by Integrated Casino Resorts Cyprus.

Its aim is for the new casino to be the biggest in Europe when it opens its doors in 2021.

The project will also include a five-star hotel with 500 rooms and luxurious villas, 11 restaurants and cafes, sports facilities and a 9,600-square meter conference center, and is projected to create some 2,500 permanent jobs.
