Phones for the impaired

A demonstration at yesterday’s presentation of special telephone equipment for the sight- and hearing-impaired by OTE Telecom and Biorehab Hellas. Users can clearly hear callers by placing the receiver on any part of their head. The sets, which are based on DirectVibe technology, cost between 45 and 100 euros and have large-number keys and caller recognition. Accessories include special bells and vibration units that alert the user to calls.
