TANKERS A steady Aframax market in all areas, with rates in the Med. at W/S 380. – Tamoil has fixed M/T «Forward Bridge» loading November 25 Libya discharging Mediterranean at the above-said levels. – In the Cont., Sibneft for 100,000 tons of cargo, loading December 5 Baltic, discharging UKC, has fixed M/T «Sparto» at W/S 305, while Exxonmobil for 80,000 tons of cargo, loading November 30, with same destination, has fixed Lundqvist tonnage at W/S 270. – In Caribs, Atmi for 70,000 tons of cargo, loading December 2 Colombia, discharging US Gulf, has fixed M/T «Cape Aspro» at W/S 427.5, while on smaller sizes, Chevtex for 50,000 tons of cargo, loading November 25 East Coast Mexico, discharging US Gulf, has fixed M/T «Chemtrans Sky» at W/S 460. – In West Africa, Shell has fixed M/T «Butron» for 130,000 tons of cargo, loading December 6, discharging US Gulf, at W/S 355. – In Arabian Gulf, CSSA for 280,000 tons of cargo, loading December 22, discharging UKC, has fixed M/T «Front Eagle» at W/S 227.5. DRY CARGO Capesize rates in the East have moved up again, with a 160,000-tonner having been fixed at USD 85,000 daily for a round voyage. – In the Atlantic, Cosco has fixed M/V «Eleftheria K,» 214,263 dwt, built 1985, delivery beginning of December UK, trip via Brazil, redelivery China, at USD 104,000 daily. – On Panamax in Far East, Mostk has fixed M/V «Medi Taipei,» 76,663 dwt, built 2003, delivery end of November India, redelivery Japan, at USD 45,000 daily. – In the Atlantic, Pan Ocean has fixed M/V «Four Sterling,» 69,618 dwt, built 1993, delivery Passero December 1-10, redelivery Far East, at USD 40,000 daily and USD 700,000 ballast bonus. – On smaller sizes, Sanko has fixed M/V «Pacific Scorpio,» 49,061 dwt, built 1997, delivery November 21-23 China, for 4-6 months’ trading at USD 32,000 daily. – On grain cargoes, Dreyfus for 54,000 tons of cargo, loading US Gulf December 1-10, discharging Japan, has fixed at USD 62.50 per ton with 11 days all purposes.
