Deputy Defense Minister…

Deputy Defense Minister Vassilis Michaloliakos symbolically packages a case of night-vision weapon sights destined for Australian tanks at yesterday’s inauguration of the new wing of manufacturing firm Theon Sensors in Koropi, southeast of Athens. The Greek company, set up in 1997, also exports to Spain, Switzerland and the US, and is close to finalizing deals with 10 more countries in the near future. CEO Christianos Hadziminas said every year since 2000 the firm has doubled its sales, which now stand at 12 million euros, and is targeting 20 million in 2005-2006, hoping to bring exports up to 50 percent from 30 percent today. «In this effort of ours, we wish to thank Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, which has faith in our ability to stand competitively in the global market and has given us its full support through its international office network,» he said. Theon Sensors also specializes in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS).
