Guided tours to better business

Development Minister Dimitris Sioufas yesterday presented his ministry’s new facility for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially among the young, women and people with special needs. «We wish to create a climate favorable to entrepreneurship, which will encourage, particularly young people, to set up their own business,» he said. Polyhoros, situated on the ministry’s ground floor at 119 Mesogeion Avenue, Athens, functions as a reception and information area where staff give 90-minute guided tours to visitors, usually high school and college students in groups of 15. Tours, which last about an hour and a half, include an offer of self-assessment tests of business aptitude. The facility will close for the Christmas holiday tomorrow and will reopen on January 12. Further planned themes for presentation include environmentally oriented businesses, innovative products and renewable energy sources.
