TANKERS Mediterranean rates remain steady with a fair amount of inquiry and with Black Sea voyages and cross-Mediterranean at W/S 187.5 and W/S 175, respectively. – North Sea still weak with prompt tonnage looking for Mediterranean and even Black Sea cargoes while the 100,000 tons out of Baltic are still fixed at W/S 130. – Caribbean is quiet due to Independence day in the USA. – Suezmaxes steady with West Africa at W/S 120 for the 130,000 tons of cargoes while on Vlccs cssa for 260,000 tons of cargo loading July 27 discharging US Gulf/UKC-Mediterranean, has fixed M/T Golden Victory at W/S 82.5 – 85 and 87.5, respectively. – On Aframax in the Mediterranean, Lukoil for 80,000 tons of cargo loading July 12 Russia discharging Mediterranean, has fixed M/T Kareela Spirit at W/S 180. – In the Continent, Chevron for 80,000 tons of cargo loading July 11 UK discharging UKC has fixed M/T Sarpen at W/S 120. DRYCARGO The Capers are holding their own in the Atlantic with much more business been quoted. However, most of the cargoes are destined for the Far East. – Transfield has fixed M/V Quorn 179,869 dwt, delivery Passero beg.
