TANKERS Unchanged conditions for Aframaxes, while Suezmax market appears more active. – Out of W. Africa, Sun has taken four vessels within 16th -20th margin and there are still cargoes such as El Paso, Coastal, Shell and Petrogal ready to be negotiated. – Aframaxes in the Med. and Cont. are at W/S 100 and W/S 96.5 respectively. – Caribs for 70,000 tons cargo liftings are at W/S 105. Exxon has fixed M/T «Genmar Agamemnon» loading March 3 East Coast Mexico, discharging US Gulf, at W/S 107.5. – In the Med., Agip for 80,000 tons of cargo loading March 7 Egypt, discharging Italy, has fixed M/T «Bering Sea» at W/S 100. – In the Continent, Chevtex for 80,000 tons of cargo loading March 6 Russia, discharging UKC, has fixed M/T «Moscow University» at W/S 96.25. – In Caribs, Exxon for 70,000 tons of cargo loading March 5 Venezuela, discharging USAC, has fixed M/T «Sks Tyne» at W/S 100. – In W. Africa, Sun has fixed M/T «Arteaga» for 130,000 tons of cargo loading March 16, discharging USAC, at W/S 65. DRY CARGO Market on Capers steadily improving with M/V «Grand Clipper» being fixed via Brazil to Far East at USD 13,000 daily. – Panamax market also on the right path with fresh inquiry in Atlantic; reports that in the weaker Far East market negotiations are just as promising. – Handymax active in Atlantic with handies lesser demand. – On Capers, NCSC has fixed M/V «Alina» 179,000 dwt, built 1986, delivery UAE March 3-4 trip via Richards Bay (S. Africa), redelivery Passero, at USD 11,350 daily. – On Panamax in Far East, HMM has fixed M/V «CSK Unity» 68,371 dwt, built 1995, delivery Japan March 5-10 for 4-6 months at USD 7,000 daily. – In Atlantic, Enel has fixed M/V «Danae» 75,106 dwt, built 2001, delivery end Feb. UK trip via NCSA, redelivery Skaw-Passero, at USD 8,000 daily. – On smaller sizes, Atlantic & Orient has fixed M/V «Mighty Confidence» 29,089 dwt, built 1995, delivery Canada end Feb., redelivery Caribs Int. Cuba at USD 6,250 daily.
