The Chinese vessel Yuehe arrived at the port of Piraeus yesterday, becoming the second Chinese vessel to visit Greece’s main harbor following the initial one last month. Cosco Hellas Shipping, the local subsidiary of Cosco, held a special event in the presence of the chairman of the National People’s Congress of China, Wu Bangguo, and Greek Merchant Marine Minister Manolis Kefaloyiannis. Cosco has expressed an interest in using the ports of Piraeus and Thessaloniki as transit stations for its containers.
