The New York College Educational Group was established in Athens in 1989, offering under exclusivity in Greece the undergraduate programs of the Empire State College of the State University of New York, the largest state university in the USA. NYC’s vision is to offer international university education of high quality, which prepares graduates to respond successfully to the needs of the local and international market. In 1998, the University of New York in Prague (UNYP) was established and joined the NYC Educational Group. UNYP was recognized and approved as an institution of higher learning by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic and offers study programs and degrees fully recognized by all the accreditation and recognition authorities world wide. In 2001, New York College Thessaloniki was established in the heart of the city, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, covering the needs in education in Northern Greece. At the same time, the University of New York in Tirana becomes the second university of the Group. Having secured the accreditation of the local Ministry of Education, the University of New York in Tirana (UNYT) satisfied the immense need for quality higher education in Albania, offering Bachelor degrees in various subject areas. Today UNYT is the top choice not only for university education, but also for executive training in the neighboring country. Finally, in 2003, the Group established its third higher institution in Skopje. In addition to its reputation for the excellent facilities of the seven thousand square meter campus, the state-of-the-art labs, and student support services, the University of New York in Skopje (UNYS) became also known, in just a short time, as the most dynamic and credible higher education institution in the wider region of former Yugoslavia. Along with the development of institutions in five cities, the Group expanded its cooperation with top universities worldwide offering the most renowned programs of study at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Today, in addition to the cooperation with the State University of New York, Empire State College, the Group offers the programs and degrees of: National American University (USA), La Salle University (USA), University of Greenwich (UK), University of Sunderland (UK), Institute Universitaire Kurt Bosch (Switzerland), Ecole Superiure de Gestion, Paris Graduate School of Management (France) and BTEC-Edexcel (UK).
