Economy Minister Giorgos Alogoskoufis yesterday said the government is mulling tax incentives for exporters to offset the impact of unfavorable international conditions. ‘We are evaluating proposals such as upping the VAT exemption limit and the further simplification of customs procedures,’ he told the National Export Council. His deputy, Petros Doukas, said the appreciation of the euro was a major obstacle to promoting exports.
