Posidonia 2008…
Merchant Marine Minister Giorgos Voulgarakis speaking at yesterday’s press briefing for the international shipping industry exhibition Posidonia 2008, which opens to the public on Tuesday at the Hellenikon Exhibition Center at the old Athens airport. The biannual event, the biggest of its kind worldwide, aims at promoting the networking of the various sectors of the shipping industry, including shipping registers, such as Lloyd’s, DNV and Germanischer Lloyd, which have scheduled press briefings. The Posidonia week, which ends on June 6, starts today with the Aegean regatta, a sailing competition with a record 77 crews.
