Greek stocks give up 2.6 pct

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) benchmark index lost 2.6 percent to 3,524.85 points yesterday, hitting its lowest level in almost two years. The FTSE/ATHEX 20 index of the biggest companies dropped 3 percent to 1,875.29 points. Fourlis dropped 58 cents, or 3 percent, to 19.02 euros as shares in the Ikea franchise-holder for Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria traded without the right to a dividend of 30 cents. Adjusted for the dividend payment, the stock slipped for a third straight day. Hellas Online added 12 cents, or 3.8 percent, to 3.28 euros, snapping a three-day decline. Intracom Holdings has an 84 percent stake in the phone and Internet-services provider, according to a bourse filing. Turnover reached 260.7 million euros. (Bloomberg, Kathimerini)
