IHU goes for local, foreign students

Education Minister Evripidis Stylianidis addresses a presentation of the International Hellenic University (IHU) in Thessaloniki yesterday. The IHU is the first public university to offer all lessons in English and aims at drawing students from Greece and abroad. Stylianidis pointed out that among its goals is to also draw academics of Greek descent from around the whole in a bid to help the institution offer better quality education services. Some 3,000 teachers at US universities are of Greek descent, while European universities have drawn another 15,000 teachers from Greece, according to the ministry. IHU offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in economics, humanities and science.
