Greece-Vietnam forum taking place in Hanoi

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Petros Doukas speaks during a Vietnam-Greece business forum that took place in Hanoi yesterday. Greek President Karolos Papoulias is on an official visit to the Asian country, escorted by Greek businessmen who are reaching out to their Vietnamese counterparts to explore jointly developing business opportunities. Earlier, Greek authorities gave 40,000 euros and 100 wheelchairs to a school attended by children suffering from physical and mental disabilities. The parents of the youngsters attending the school had been exposed to dioxins in a toxic spray used by American soldiers during the Vietnam War to defoliate forest areas believed to be hiding enemy forces.
