Iberia, Qatar Airways eye Olympic sale
Qatar Airways, Iberia, Chrysler Aviation, SkyOne and Swissport are among the companies that have shown interest in the sale of Olympic Airlines, according to the Transport Ministry. ‘The prospective investors that expressed interest in the company’s flight operations and fulfill conditions for participating in the next phase number 13,’ the ministry said yesterday. Greece’s conservative government launched a tender in September to split the lossmaking airline into three parts and sell each of them off. Greece hopes to complete the sales procedure by the end of this year.
