Stocks reverse mid-session gains

Shares on the Athens bourse (ATHEX) fell yesterday, reversing mid-session gains as soft blue chips offset firm small- and mid-cap shares. The benchmark general index eased 0.66 percent to 2,162.65 points, after reaching an intra-session high of 2,209 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index slipped 0.85 percent to 1,094.86 points. Greek betting firm OPAP slumped 7.40 percent to 19.40 euros and Public Power Corporation dipped 2.14 percent to 14.60 euros. The mid-cap FTSE/ATHEX 40 index advanced 0.75 percent and the small-cap FTSE/ATHEX 80 index added 0.41 percent. Turnover reached 181.2 million euros, versus 159 million in the previous session.
