A report released yesterday by the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO) shows that growth rates in Greece’s telecoms and information technology markets are expected to slow in 2009-210 but are likely to remain in positive territory. The size of the market in Greece will reach 10.9 billion euros this year, versus 10.6 billion euros a year earlier, according to EITO. Of the total amount, 2.4 billion euros concerns IT, with 8.5 billion euros coming from the telecoms sector. A breakdown of the figures shows that the equipment sector is seen as growing by 6.1 percent this year to 951 million euros.
