Greek stocks firm 0.14 pct

The Athens bourse inched up yesterday as modest gains in blue chips offset soft mid- and small-cap stocks. The Athens bourse’s benchmark general index advanced 0.14 percent to 2,483.26 points, trailing solid performances in major European equity markets. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index firmed 0.40 percent to 1,318.37 points. Brokerage UBS upped its price target on National Bank to 24 euros from 19.90 euros previously, according to Reuters. UBS also increase its price target on EFG Eurobank to 10.80 euros from 7.20 euros previously. The mid-cap FTSE/ATHEX 40 and small-cap FTSE/ATHEX 80 indices retreated 0.50 and 0.46 percent respectively. Turnover reached 224.1 million euros versus 287 million in the previous session.
