Monday President Karolos Papoulias visits Thessaloniki to attend a series of events commemorating the city’s liberation from Ottoman rule as well as celebrations for «Ochi Day» (October 28), the national holiday marking Greece’s refusal to allow Axis troops to enter Greece in 1940.
