Stocks add 1.27 pct; OTE jumps
Greek stocks advanced 1.27 percent yesterday, boosted by solid gains in blue chip OTE telecom. The Athens bourse’s benchmark general index ended at 1,882.10 points after touching on an intra-session high of 1,800 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index added 1.58 percent to 934.38 points. DT owns 30 percent of OTE. Mid-caps (FTSE/ATHEX 40) underperformed, shedding 0.15 percent, while small-caps (FTSE/ATHEX 80) moved ahead 0.93 percent. Turnover reached 136.4 million euros versus 150 million in the previous session.
