Libya promises Athens support in difficult times

Libya’s Prime Minister Al-Baghdadi Ali Al-Mahmoudi (r) visited Athens yesterday and told his Greek counterpart, George Papandreou, that his country is ready to help Greece to overcome its debt problems, while pledging an increase in bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. ‘We have the political will to support Greece and help it overcome the difficult period it is presently going through,’ he said following his meeting with Papandreou. ‘My country is ready to cooperate with Greece on green energy, power generation and tourism, while also increasing investment in Greece,’ he added.
