Battle against corruption takes time

It takes decades for any government to weed out corruption, according to Professor Andrew Natsios of Georgetown University, who added that Greece’s crisis creates the opportunity for faster action. «Reforms to begin the process can start immediately. In a big crisis, you can make big changes in a very short period of time,» the former USAID administrator said in Athens yesterday. Natsios will deliver a lecture at Deree College in Athens this evening on «What Classical Greece teaches Modern Greece: Lessons on History and Crisis.» For details, call 210.600.9800.
