Louka Katseli promotes bilateral relations with China

Greece and China signed a number of bilateral agreements yesterday in Beijing that will strengthen their economic and trade cooperation. Economy Minister Louka Katseli (r) met with Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming (l) and concluded the agreements that will increase imports of Greek food products and building materials to China and Chinese investment in Greece. Katseli stated that Greece welcomes Chinese investment in the sectors of communications, shipping and energy, a statement by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce suggested. Greece will also take part in a business forum to be held in China on September 8, presenting this country’s investment proposals. The Greek minister also met with the chairman of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Geng Liang. Katseli and the rest of the Greek delegation are returning home today.
