Occupancy rates posted…

Occupancy rates at the hotels in Athens and Attica for September posted annual losses of 10.3 percent, the Athens-Attica Hotel Association (EXA) announced yesterday. It added that the capital’s lag behind its direct competitors is constantly growing, as revenues in the year’s first eight months dropped by 6.3 percent annually but then by end-September were down by 6.7 percent. At the same time, hotels in Istanbul posted a 19.4 percent increase. Three-star hotels were the worst-hit in Athens, seeing a 16.5 percent decline.
