24-hour strike…

OPAP gaming company agents are planning a 24-hour strike this Friday as they attempt to stop the government’s efforts to regulate the market for games of chance. Agents are demanding their exemption from accounting checks on their income, a term the government has rejected from the outset. They also demand the maintenance of OPAP’s monopoly, protesting against the use of the Internet for games of chance, as they are eager to have punters come to their betting shops rather than betting from the comfort of their homes.
