Monday A debate titled «The European Vision Has Failed» will take place at the Athens Concert Hall, starting at 7 p.m. Professors from different Greek universities will form two teams: Euroskeptics versus Euroreformists. (Info: tel 210.728.2725) Prime Minister George Papandreou visits Paris for two days to chair a meeting of Socialist International. Today he meets with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Representatives from the International Monetary Fund, the European Commission and the European Central Bank, collectively known as the troika, are to visit Athens to check progress in the country’s fiscal consolidation. They will meet with top government officials. The Communist Party is organizing protest rallies in Athens and Thessaloniki in view of the troika visit. In Athens, protesters will gather at 6 p.m. in Syntagma Square, where Communist Party leader Aleka Papariga will speak. In Thessaloniki, the rally will take place at 7 p.m. at the Venizelos statue.
