Cultural events…

Cultural events, such as festivals, museum exhibitions and expos, to be held in Thessaloniki next year will be connected with the Arab world and Israel in a bid to strengthen Greek ties with the two regions, Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Geroulanos said yesterday. ‘Being aware of all the cultural elements that bring our peoples closer, as well as our wish to re-energize our relationship, we decided to launch this project by dedicating our first year to the Arab world and Israel,’ the minister told a conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The northern Greek city’s cultural events, including its annual film and documentary festivals, will focus on a different region of the world each year.
