Sector losses expected…

The country’s passenger ferry industry is going through what is probably its worst year in history, with sector losses expected to exceed 180 million euros for 2010. For the first nine months of the year, three companies whose shares are publicly listed, Minoan Lines, ANEK and Attica, have unveiled losses of 15.6 million, 23.6 million and 21.1 million euros respectively. Most of the country’s smaller players, which are not listed on the Athens bourse, are also in the red.
