Fuel prices are…

Fuel prices are unlikely to drop after reaching as high as 1.70 euros per liter in parts of the country this week, according to the head of the Attica gas station owners’ federation, Giorgos Asmatoglou. He told Skai TV yesterday that ‘there is no solution’ to the rising prices. ‘The price from the refinery is 1.20 euros per liter and then we have to pay the distributor and the transport costs,’ he said. ‘We are already at 1.50 euros per liter in Attica and the price is set to rise to 1.65-1.70 after the recent rise in the price of crude oil.’
