Anti-competitive behavior

Two of Greece’s leading snack food companies will clash at the Competition Commission next month over claims of anti-competitive behavior. The Commission announced that it will hear claims on February 14 from Tsakiris, owned by Coca-Cola Hellenic, that its rival Tasty Foods has been trying to squeeze it out of the market unfairly. Tasty Foods, which controls about 75 percent of the market, is owned by PepsiCo. In November, the Commission had issued a statement saying that a five-year study found Tasty Foods was adopting practices that limited competition at smaller retailers such as street kiosks and corner stores.
