A planned tax on banks…

Cyprus intends to use a planned tax on banks to boost state revenue and establish a bank support fund, government spokesman Stefanos Stefanou said yesterday. The planned tax aims to raise 60 million euros, out of which ’35 million euros will flow to the government’s coffers and the rest will be used to create a fund to support banks,’ Stefanou told Bloomberg News.
