Acropolis committee defends concrete path
The Committee for the Conservation of the Acropolis Monuments has rebuffed criticism of a decision to lay a concrete path on the Sacred Rock to facilitate access to the Parthenon. In a statement on Tuesday, it said the new walkway, which replaced that of 1978, could easily be removed.
