‘My Beloved Smyrna’ premieres
The premiere of “My Beloved Smyrna,” the big-screen adaptation of the successful theater production of the same name, took place at Athens Concert Hall Tuesday before it is set to hit movie theaters next week. The film pays tribute to Smyrna, an important financial and cultural center of the Greek world, and the 100 years since its destruction. The city on Turkey’s Aegean coast is today called Izmir.
