Visitors at the annual Art Athina fair at the Faliro Sports Pavilion on Athens’s southern coast, on Saturday. The capital’s international contemporary art showcase, originally established in 1993, is a meeting place for local and foreign artists, gallery owners, collectors and art aficionados. Participating in this year’s event were some 50 galleries, including Greek, German, Belgian, Cypriot and Korean art venues. About 40,000 visitors attended the visual arts trade show last year.
