Children in Nafplio decorate red eggs for Easter
A child decorates an egg as part of preparations for the Orthodox Easter weekend in Napflio Thursday. The egg decoration workshop was organized by the Municipality of Nafplio in cooperation with the National Gallery’s Children’s Workshop, which teaches youngsters of preschool and primary school ages how to paint and sculpt. The children dyed the eggs red – to symbolize the blood of Christ in line with Orthodox Easter tradition – and then decorated them with their own designs. [ANA-MPA]
