Greece and Saudi Arabia edge closer

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias (r) and Saudi Arabia’s Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud reaffirmed during their meeting on Friday in the Greek capital that Athens and Riyadh are on the same page regarding the memoranda of understanding signed between Turkey and Libya. Dendias said that “these illegal and invalid accords are very dangerous both for Libya and the broader region.” Before their meeting, an agreement was finalized for the deployment of Patriot anti-aircraft missiles of the Hellenic Air Force in Saudi Arabia. “Our bilateral ties have acquired a special dynamic,” he said.
