PM Costas Simitis…

PM Costas Simitis, Finance Minister Nikos Christodoulakis and Agriculture Minister Giorgos Drys arrive at their places in Parliament for the final night of the 2003 State budget debate. The five-day debate was to end at midnight with a roll call vote. Ruling PASOK, with 156 seats in the 300-member chamber, was expected to win easily. The New Democracy party said the budget ‘does not solve problems nor offer ways out.’
