NATO Secretary-General Lord Robertson was in Athens…

NATO Secretary-General Lord Robertson (r) was in Athens yesterday for talks with PM Costas Simitis. Their talks included EU-NATO ties and Iraq. Afterwards, Robertson told reporters there will be no need for military action if Iraqi President Saddam Hussein complies with UN resolutions. He also said that ‘no decisions have yet been taken’ on US proposals for NATO support. EU defense chief Javier Solana also visited Athens yesterday.
