Thessaloniki doctor charged with writing illegal narcotic prescriptions

A 62-year-old physician appeared before a prosecutor in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, Thursday after his arrest on charges of prescribing heavy drugs to patients for a fee of 20 euros.
Police officers who raided the man’s home turned up 13 tablets of pills that fall under the provisions of the law on controlled substances.
