Police officer caught stealing from migrant center safe
A 40-year-old police officer from the Internal Affairs Division has been arrested for theft and breach of duty.
According to a police announcement on Saturday, the officer, who was arrested on Friday night, was serving in the pre-departure detention center for migrants in Corinth in southern Greece.
He is accused of stealing 600 euros from a safe where money and valuables were kept at the center and belonged to two migrants.
