Man injured after trying to crash into police car

A man was injured on Friday morning after attempting to hit a police car during a chase in central Athens.

Officers tried to stop the vehicle moving on Marnis Street for a check, but the driver increased speed and tried to hit the police vehicle.

The officers shot at the car, injuring the man. 

An ambulance was underway.
