Esteemed journalist Rosita Sokou, 98, passes away

Respected journalist and author Rosita Sokou passed away on Tuesday. Sokou had been admitted to hospital a few days ago with Covid-related symptoms. The news was shared by her daughter on social media.

“Born on September 9, 1923, she had recently celebrated her 98^th birthday and had just finished working on the second, larger and improved edition of her momentous autobiography ‘Rosita’s century’,” read the statement.
