Body of man found on Cretan beach

Port officials in the Cretan city of Iraklio recovered the body of man from a beach near the city on Wednesday.

The corpse, which was in an advanced state of decomposion, was spotted by a passerby near Karteros beach, about 7km east of the city.

The body was taken to Iraklio University General Hospital for forensic examination. [AMNA]
