After this week’s heavy snowfall, meteorologists on Thursday forecast showers and storms sweeping in from the northwest, warning of floods in areas with a lot of accumulated snow.
The new wet front will also bring more snow to northern Greece and to higher altitudes further south, the national weather service (EMY) reported.
Before dipping on the weekend, Friday’s highs will range from 9-11 degrees Celsius in the north and 12-14C in other parts, including Athens, where the warmer weather will help the task of snow clearing before tomorrow’s anticipated showers.
