11-year-old Covid patient airlifted to hospital
An 11-year-old boy from the island Lesvos in the eastern Aegean has been flown in a C-130 plane to a hospital in Athens after developing a rare Covid-linked syndrome.
The boy is currently receiving treatment for pulmonary embolism (PE), a blood clot in the lungs, at the Pedon childrens’ hospital.
He was diagnosed with coronavirus again in the summer.
