Rape suspect remanded in custody following hearing

A 45-year-old man accused of the serial rape of his wife’s underage sister was remanded in custody after his hearing with a prosecutor on the island of Crete on Tuesday. The man has denied all charges.

The man was arrested after the 13-year-old girl informed her teacher who immediately notified the police.
