Pedestrian struck, killed by train
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train near Kryoneri, northeast of the capital, on Wednesday.
The victim, a woman, was hit by an intercity train traveling from Thessaloniki to Athens.
The woman, whose name and age were not immediately available, died at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
Rail services have been disrupted by the incident.
