Police officer dies of self-inflicted gun injury
A police officer serving at the monastic community of Mount Athos in northern Greece died on Tuesday morning of a self-inflicted gun injury.
The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. at the Hilandariou Monastery police station, where the unnamed young man was serving.
He reportedly used his service revolver to shoot himself.
The reasons why he would take his own life are being investigated.
